Volleyball Recap: Hampton Triumphs

Hampton was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past the Tri-Cities Christian Eagles 3-2. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.

Hampton got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-22, 30-28, 23-25, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Tri-Cities Christian still got an impressive performance from Julia Ting, who had 14 digs and three aces.

The victory got Hampton back to even at 1-1. As for Tri-Cities Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Hampton will head out on the road to face off against Unicoi County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tri-Cities Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Providence Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
