Basketball Recap: Somerset Academy Collegiate Falls Short of Founders Classical Academy in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Somerset Academy Collegiate can now relate to. They fell 56-47 to the Founders Classical Academy Hoplites on Monday. The Bears have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Aslan Whyle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Founders Classical Academy, going 9 for 13 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight steals and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Whyle a new career-high in steals. Noah Trejo was another key player, putting up eight points and ten boards.

Somerset Academy Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Founders Classical Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-5.

Somerset Academy Collegiate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Founders Classical Academy has also already played their next matchup, a 65-62 defeat against San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy on the 6th.
