Volleyball Recap: Greenway Demons vs. Kellis Cougars
Greenway came into Friday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a set and slipped past the Kellis Cougars 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Demons have posted since March 6th.
Frank Horlacher paced Greenway's offense, picking up nine kills. Horlacher got some help from Daniel Hoang and his 18 assists. Jordan Mata controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
The win got Greenway back to even at 6-6. As for Kellis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Greenway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Sunrise Mountain on the 4th. As for Kellis, they will take on Canyon View at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
