Softball Preview: Alden-Hebron Green Giants vs. Durand Bulldogs
The Alden-Hebron Green Giants will head out on the road to take on the Durand Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Alden-Hebron had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell victim to a rough 19-9 defeat at the hands of Ashton-Franklin Center.
Rileigh Gaddini and Marissa Johnson did some serious damage despite the final result: Gaddini scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Johnson scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Mayerck, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Durand beat Byron 5-2 last Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Durand.
