Lovett extends road losing streak to five

Recap: Lovett Lions vs. Woodland Wolfpack

This season hasn't been kind to the Lovett Lions, who are still winless after their tenth game. They were beaten by Woodland 61-25 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Lovett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while Woodland is ranked 219th).

Despite the loss, Lovett still got an impressive performance from Carson Pressley, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Those five blocks set a new season-high mark for Pressley. The team also got some help courtesy of Vaughan McKnight, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.

Lovett's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-10. As for Woodland, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Lovett will head out on the road to face off against Kennesaw Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennesaw Mountain is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Woodland will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harris County at 4:00 p.m. on December 19th.
