Volleyball Recap: Oakland Tech Comes Up Short

If Oakland Tech was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Madison Park Academy on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Oakland Wildcats on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since March 4th.

While Oakland Tech was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Oakland's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-22.

Oakland Tech's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11. As for Oakland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland Tech will host Coliseum College Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oakland, they will be playing at home against Madison Park Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats are facing the Trojan-Warriors at the right time seeing as the Trojan-Warriors are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
