Soccer Recap: William Byrd Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for William Byrd, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Franklin County Eagles a 3-0 shutout on Friday. The score was close at halftime, but William Byrd pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Sergio Leon and Daniel Britts scored all three of William Byrd's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

With the victory, William Byrd broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-6-1. As for Franklin County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-2.
