Baseball Recap: Ada Comes Up Short

Ada made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Columbus Grove, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Ada fell just short of Columbus Grove by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. Ada has struggled against Columbus Grove recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Ada saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thad Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Smith has hit this season.

Ada's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Columbus Grove, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Looking ahead, Ada will take on Upper Scioto Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbus Grove, they will welcome Continental at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
