Basketball Recap: Shepherd Bluejays vs. Clare Pioneers
After flying high against Harrison last Wednesday, Shepherd came back down to earth. The Shepherd Bluejays took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clare Pioneers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejays of the 56-44 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Shepherd now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Clare, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shepherd will head out to face off against Ithaca at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ithaca will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Shepherd surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clare, they will venture away from home to challenge Meridian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
