Volleyball Recap: Austin Prep Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Austin Prep took on Winsor on Wednesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Austin Prep took Winsor into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-14, 25-17, 21-25, 15-9.

Austin Prep's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-12. As for Winsor, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Austin Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winsor, they will host Beaver Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
