Softball Recap: Bathgate Comes Up Short

Bathgate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Language & Tech, falling 21-12. Even though they lost, the Bulldogs' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.6 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Aileen Rosario was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shadae Cauthen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Bathgate's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Language & Tech, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bathgate will venture away from home to challenge Morrisania at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Language & Tech, they will head out to face off against Bronx Leadership Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
