Alex Nicholson Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Fort Bragg got the W thanks in part to Alex Nicholson playing the best football he has all season. Nicholson rushed for 251 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 66 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

If the past is any indication, Nicholson could be in store for another big game when he takes on St. Helena on Friday. When Nicholson last faced the Saints back in October of 2023, he rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 69 yards and a touchdown.

A Season-Best Effort from Brock Barrick Leads Kelseyville over Willits

On Friday, Kelseyville got the W thanks in part to Brock Barrick playing the best football he has all season. Barrick rushed for 165 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended a pass.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Kelseyville, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. They and Lower Lake are set to duel on Friday.

Dejohn Made His Presence Known in Kelseyville's 20-17 Win

Kelseyville picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Michael Dejohn. Dejohn was dynamite, rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 118 rushing yards.

If the past is any indication, Dejohn could be in store for another big game when he takes on Lower Lake on Friday. Dejohn rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Trojans duked it out back in October of 2023.

Willits had to settle for second on Friday, but Kolbe Bufardeci sure wasn't going down easily. Despite the loss, Bufardeci was still balling out as he made ten total tackles. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 50 yards.

With the defeat, Willits broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2. Bufardeci and Willits will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Clear Lake at 7:00 p.m.

Corey Rockey Has Career-Day on Friday

Corey Rockey posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 167 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 39 yards.

On the season, Rockey has thrown 15 touchdowns while averaging 191.8 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he was only averaging one rushing yard per game. This year he is averaging 11.25 rushing yards.
