Baseball Recap: Westlake Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Westlake and San Clemente squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Westlake had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Tritons. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Warriors haven't been shut out since back in February.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 20-9. As for San Clemente, they pushed their record up to 19-10 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Westlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Clemente, they will challenge Foothill at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tritons 3.3, the Knights 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
