Rocky Mount can attribute much of their success to Brelyn Moses, who went 11 for 19 en route to 23 points and five rebounds, and Anthony Jones, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 15 points and eight boards. Jones has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times he's played. Zion Harris was another key player, putting up seven points and six assists.
Rocky Mount smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Southern Nash had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Bunn by a score of 57-49 on Tuesday. With that victory, the Firebirds brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.
Southern Nash found their leader in sophomore Jeremiah Battle, who went 6 of 11 en route to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jaden Hartsfield, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points.
Rocky Mount's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Southern Nash, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Rocky Mount has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Southern Nash struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.5 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
