Basketball Recap: Torres Comes Up Short

Torres played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the University Wildcats, falling 83-44. The loss was the Toros' first of the season.

It was another big night for Jonah Hansen, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards for University. Thanks to that strong game, Hansen now owns an excellent 47.8% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylar Melton, who went 8-for-14 on his way to 20 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Torres fell to 3-1. As for University, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Coming up, Torres will welcome Animo Bunche at 4:00 p.m. on December 1. As for University, they will be taking part in a tournament against St. Monica at 3:30 p.m. on December 1.
