Softball Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Ashland's offense. They came up short against the Jumpertown Cardinals on Monday, falling 14-0. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost five in a row.

Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jumpertown, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Ashland will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Pine Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashland's pitchers better be ready for this one: Pine Grove has averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Jumpertown, they will face off against Myrtle at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
