Softball Recap: Rancho Bernardo's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

After low-scoring totals in their previous six matchup, Rancho Bernardo brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Patrick Henry Patriots a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Broncos not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 17th (when they won 10-0).

Ellery Housand was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nora Schwart, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Rancho Bernardo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Rancho Bernardo's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-13-1. As for Patrick Henry, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-15.

As of now, neither Rancho Bernardo nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
