Volleyball Recap: Mercer Tigers vs. Hurley Northstars
After flying high against Lac Courte Oreilles on Tuesday, Mercer came back down to earth. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Hurley Northstars on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Northstars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Monday.
Mercer's offense was headlined by Kacee Chaney and Kaylee Powers, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Anya Brandenburg and her ten assists.
Mercer has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Hurley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.
