Slidell won the last time they faced Archbishop Chapelle and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Chipmunks.

Slidell got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 30-28.

Ava Barduca paced Slidell's offense, picking up 22 kills. Barduca got some help from Ava Labat and her 37 assists. Barduca was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Archbishop Chapelle lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ava Landry, who had 13 digs.

Slidell has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season. As for Archbishop Chapelle, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-12.

Slidell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Notre Dame on the 18th. As for Archbishop Chapelle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against St. Michael on the 18th.
