Lewiston-Altura was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Blooming Prairie on Monday. The Cardinals blew past the Awesome Blossoms 22-12. The Cardinals' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Lewiston-Altura's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Blooming Prairie, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Lewiston-Altura didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-2 victory against Plainview-Elgin-Millville on the 15th. As for Blooming Prairie, they will take on Medford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
