Volleyball Recap: Manhattan Takes Down Ranked Hayden

Manhattan faced Hayden in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Indians walked away with a 2-0 win over the Wildcats. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-1 win last Thursday.

Manhattan didn't let Hayden take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 27-25.

Bailey Busch paced Manhattan's offense, picking up 17 kills. Busch got some help from Keeli Tepe and her 29 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Hayden lost, don't look at Ella Foster. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and one assist.

Manhattan's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6. As for Hayden, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.

Manhattan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Emporia on the 4th. As for Hayden, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Topeka on the 4th.
