Baseball Game Preview: Eastern Eagles vs. Adena Warriors

The Eastern Eagles will head out to square off against the Adena Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Eastern and 13 for Adena.

Eastern made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Clay, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-1 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since May 16, 2025.

Meanwhile, Adena fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Vinton County on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-6 to the Vikings, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Fisher Schaaf made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Justin Brown, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Adena, their loss dropped their record down to 5-18.
