Basketball Game Preview: Rogers Vikings vs. East Providence Townies

The Rogers Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the East Providence Townies at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rogers is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: South Kingstown, who was ranked 11th at the time (Rogers was ranked 19th). Rogers came out on top in a nail-biter against South Kingstown on Thursday, sneaking past 49-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, East Providence beat Cumberland 59-46 on Tuesday.

Rogers is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for East Providence, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
