Soccer Recap: South Bend Riley Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when South Bend Riley duked it out with New Prairie on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 1-0. South Bend Riley haven't had much luck with New Prairie recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

South Bend Riley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for New Prairie, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

South Bend Riley and New Prairie could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Wildcats will take on Elkhart Christian Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (209 vs. 31). Meanwhile, New Prairie (ranked 211th) will meet Concord (ranked 88th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
