After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodruff, Union County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Yellowjackets who were credited with the win. The Union County Yellowjackets got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Mountain View Prep Stars's one. The victory was some much needed relief for Union County as it spelled an end to their six-match losing streak.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Tytavius Smith, who's now up to seven this season.

Union County's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-11. As for Mountain View Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Union County is set to take on their familiar foe Broome at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mountain View Prep will face off against rival Woodruff at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
