Basketball Recap: Bullock County Skates Past Opp with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bullock County). They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 56-26 win over the Opp Bobcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Hornets have posted since November 19, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Opp saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dionna Stoudemire dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Stoudemire has become a key player for Opp: the team is 4-2 when she posts at least ten boards, but 2-4 otherwise.

Bullock County's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Opp, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Bullock County will head out to face off against New Brockton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Opp, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Opp Bobcats challenge the Straughn Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Straughn's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Opp's offense will have their work cut out for them.
