Basketball Recap: Huntley Project Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lame Deer

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Huntley Project walked away with it. They came out on top against the Lame Deer Morning Stars by a score of 88-79 on Thursday. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Morning Stars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Huntley Project's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was ANDERSON MCNIVEN, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, MCNIVEN also posted a 54% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. PARKER COOK was another key player, putting up 28 points along with six boards and five assists.

Lame Deer's loss came despite strong showings from Kymani Fraser and Semaj Bird-Killsnight. Fraser dropped a double-double with 28 points and 19 rebounds, while Bird-Killsnight posted 26 points in addition to six boards and six steals. Fraser is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dallie Archambeau, who scored ten points and four steals.

Huntley Project's record now sits at 14-5. As for Lame Deer, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

Huntley Project does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lame Deer, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 84-67 victory against Colstrip on the 21st.
