Baseball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-0 to the St. Marys Blue Devils. The Lumberjacks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in May of 2016.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Marys, their record now sits at 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley will host Tyler at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Valley's pitchers better be ready for this one: Tyler has averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for St. Marys, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Gilmer County at 5:00 p.m. St. Marys' pitchers better be ready for this one: Gilmer County has averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
