It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Westside ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Woodmont Wildcats by a score of 7-4. The win was just business as usual for the Rams, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

The team relied heavily on Jacob Holmes, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Phoenix Herndon, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Westside's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Woodmont, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
