Baseball Game Preview: North Rockland Raiders vs. Ketcham Storm

North Rockland is 2-8 against Ketcham since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Storm at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Rockland is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New York's top teams: John Jay, who was ranked first at the time (North Rockland was ranked fourth). The Raiders walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Patriots on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Ketcham entered their tilt with Yorktown on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Huskers by a score of 6-1.

North Rockland pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ketcham, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

North Rockland might still be hurting after the 9-2 defeat they got from Ketcham in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
