Basketball Recap: Cayuga Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Cayuga took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Winona.

Despite the defeat, Cayuga saw an underclassman step up: freshman Levi Satterwhite shot 45% from the field to rack up 22 points. Kayden Edwards was another key player, putting up four points along with five boards and four blocks.

Cayuga now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Winona, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Cayuga will take on Groesbeck at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winona, they will square off against Waskom at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
