Volleyball Recap: Cesar Chavez Takes a Loss

Cesar Chavez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Maryvale Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Maryvale scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-20.

Cesar Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Maryvale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Cesar Chavez has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Browne on the 24th. As for Maryvale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against South Mountain on the 29th.
