Volleyball Recap: Emma Moore Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Colonial Christian

Crosspointe Christian Academy had won three straight road games and Chloe Sharpe did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Colonial Christian Cougars by a score of 3-1 for which the team can thank Sharpe, who had seven digs and seven aces. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more aces the last four times she's played.

Crosspointe Christian Academy was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-27, 25-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crosspointe Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Moore, who had 15 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Moore has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Baskerville, who had 15 assists and six digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Crosspointe Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in ten consecutive matches.

Crosspointe Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 24-3-3. As for Colonial Christian, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Crosspointe Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 16th. As for Colonial Christian, they will face off against Suburban Christian at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
