Basketball Recap: Coventry Comes Up Short

Coventry lost against Field back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Coventry Comets were beaten by the Field Falcons 54-18. The Comets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.

Delilah Rahe continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Field, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards. Rahe's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ally Harlin, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Coventry now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Field, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Coventry will take on Springfield in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Field, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 67-29 defeat against Lutheran East on the 14th.
