Volleyball Recap: Athens Drive Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Athens Drive extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-8. They lost 3-0 to the Corinth Holders Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

Mason Fernandez paced Athens Drive's offense, picking up eight kills. Fernandez got some help from Annie Baublitz and her ten assists. Hailey Martin controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

As for Corinth Holders, the victory got them back to even at 5-5. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 11th (when they won 3-0).

Corinth Holders can attribute much of their success to Addison Ramsey, who had 26 assists and four digs. Those 26 assists gave Ramsey a new career-high. Katie Locklear also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Athens Drive has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Rolesville on the 4th. As for Corinth Holders, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Leesville Road on the 4th.
