The Sandia Matadors will challenge the Eldorado Golden Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sandia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

On Wednesday, Sandia got the win against Manzano by a conclusive 8-1. Isaiah Ornelas was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Eldorado faced Santa Fe in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles never let the Demons get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Eldorado haven't had any issues with Santa Fe recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Sandia's win bumped their record up to 9-2-2. As for Eldorado, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4-1.

Sandia suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Eldorado in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Matadors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
