Basketball Recap: Hayfield Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Hayfield came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.1 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 91-29 win over the Falls Church Jaguars. With the Hawks ahead 47-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hayfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaylen Lemon, who posted 12 points. Lemon is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Tyson Washington was another key player, on his way to 12 points and three steals.

Hayfield pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points over those games. As for Falls Church, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.

Hayfield has already played their next game, a 72-32 win against Mount Vernon on the 19th. Falls Church does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
