Basketball Recap: Summit Christian Academy Finds Home Court Redemption Against Mount Hope Christian Academy

There's no place like home for Summit Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors with a sharp 67-43 victory on Tuesday. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Ella Botts, who went 14 of 21 on her way to 31 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals. The game was her 15th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Bailee Martin, who went 6 for 15 to rack up 22 points and three steals.

Botts wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Summit Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They racked up six more assists than Mount Hope Christian Academy's also-impressive total of 11.

Mount Hope Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was SOPHIA PACK, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. PACK has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times she's played. MCKENNA JONES was another key player, putting up six points along with six blocks and five assists.

Summit Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points over those games. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.

Summit Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-42 win against Grace Christian on the 31st. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-32 victory against Calvary Baptist Academy on the 30th.
