Volleyball Recap: Elko Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Elko was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dayton Dust Devils. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Dust Devils this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss back in September.

Elko couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Dayton a tough time in the first set. The final score came out to 30-28, 19-25, 21-25, 25-9, 15-9.

ALISI TULIMAFUA-CURRAN was nothing short of spectacular for Dayton: she had 14 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, TULIMAFUA-CURRAN is now averaging an impressive 12.5 assists per game.

Elko's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Dayton, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Elko wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Lowry on the 24th. As for Dayton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Fernley on the 23rd.
