Baseball Recap: Whitewater Comes Up Short

Delavan-Darien hit Whitewater with a eight-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Whippets came up short against the Comets, falling 13-0. The Whippets were not able to make up for their loss to the Comets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Whitewater and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Delavan-Darien, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Comets beat Whitewater by a score of 10-0 on Thursday.
