Recap: Hancock Hawks vs. Pascagoula Panthers
The Hancock Hawks lost against the Pascagoula Panthers back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hancock fell 32-21 to Pascagoula. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hancock in their matchups with Pascagoula: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Hancock still got an impressive performance from Kaleb Schaefer, who picked up 147 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Pascagoula, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
Hancock will look to defend their home field on Friday against Long Beach at 7:00 p.m. Long Beach will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Hancock is ranked 36th). As for Pascagoula, they will head out on the road to face off against West Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Harrison is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
