Basketball Recap: Manor Takes a Loss

Manor extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 5-9. They were dealt a 78-50 loss at the hands of the Hutto Hippos. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since November 21st.

When it comes to explaining why Manor lost, don't look at Kayden Chandler. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-13 en route to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Majer Hunt, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

As for Hutto, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-8. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Hutto's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ronald Willis, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was Willis' third in a row with at least 15 points. Michael Blaylark also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Manor has already played their next game, a 63-35 loss against Round Rock Westwood on the 12th. As for Hutto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 83-70 defeat against Bowie on the 12th.
