Flag Football Game Preview: Fairfax Lions vs. Venice Gondoliers + How To Watch

The Fairfax Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Venice Gondoliers at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Fairfax's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four matchups, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fairfax will bounce into Monday's contest after beating University, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Lions never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Monday.

Meanwhile, Venice didn't have too much trouble with Hamilton on Monday as they won 32-18. The win continues a trend for the Gondoliers in their matchups with the Yankees: they've now won three in a row.

The critical scores for Venice came from Somer Staley, Sarah Kriteman, Khalia Rodriguez, Annabelle Refnes, and Jillian Pennie-Jacobs.

Venice now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fairfax, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Fairfax couldn't quite get it done against Venice when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 19-12. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
