Basketball Recap: Ascent Classical Academy Northern Colorado Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

Ascent Classical Academy Northern Colorado extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Danica Candelaria. The Ascent Classical Academy Northern Colorado Archers strolled past Non Varsity Opponent with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 34-18 thanks in part to Candelaria, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 boards. Her morning made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kizzy Thode, who posted four points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played.

Ascent Classical Academy Northern Colorado pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Ascent Classical Academy Northern Colorado will face off against Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-28 loss against Spirit HomeSchool on the 25th.
