St. Agnes has gone a perfect 5-0 against Nova Classical Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Aggies will square off against the Knights at 6:15 p.m. St. Agnes will be strutting in after a win while Nova Classical Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
St. Agnes was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Liberty Classical Academy on Friday. The Aggies blew past Liberty Classical Academy 9-1. The Aggies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by eight runs or more this season.

Charlie Witzel was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Danny Plamann, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Elias Bratzel also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Nova Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Life Academy.
Like St. Agnes, Nova Classical Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: James Williams. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Williams gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Kincaid Gerber made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Quintus Graff, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
St. Agnes' record now sits at 4-5. As for Nova Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. St. Agnes has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Nova Classical Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went St. Agnes' way against Nova Classical Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as St. Agnes made off with an 8-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Aggies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
