Softball Game Preview: Hawthorne Bears vs. Saddle Brook Falcons

The Hawthorne Bears will head out to square off against the Saddle Brook Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Saddle Brook took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hawthorne, who comes in off a win.

Hawthorne played in-conference for the first time on Monday and got just the result they were looking for. They blew past Elmwood Park 13-3. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Saddle Brook unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to Cresskill. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Hawthorne's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Saddle Brook, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Hawthorne couldn't quite finish off Saddle Brook when the teams last played on April 6th and fell 8-6. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
