Monroe beats Snohomish for their eighth straight win

Recap: Monroe Bearcats vs. Snohomish Panthers

The Monroe Bearcats put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Snohomish 55-7 at home. The result was nothing new for Monroe, who have now won seven contests by 25 points or more so far this season.

Blake Springer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 306 yards and six touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Rodriguez, who picked up 79 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Monroe's victory was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. As for Snohomish, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe will challenge Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Arlington's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. As for Snohomish, they will head out on the road to face off against Marysville-Pilchuck at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Marysville-Pilchuck presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Snohomish in Washington (Marysville-Pilchuck is ranked 51st, while Snohomish is ranked 214th).
