Leakey and Medina are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2021, but likely not for long. Leakey will face off against Medina at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Leakey has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Leakey lost 12-4 to SA S on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Angela Lopez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Katie Salazar, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Medina, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over Richland Springs on Friday. Considering the Bobcats have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Hallie Kunz was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Audrey Gatlin was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Medina was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .581. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .435 or higher in three consecutive games.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-4. As for Leakey, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10-1.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Leakey hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .382. However, it's not like Medina struggles in that department as they've averaged .508. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Leakey might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Medina when the teams last played on March 1st. Can Leakey avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
