Basketball Recap: Hunter Regnerus and Andrew Regnerus Secure Win for Heritage Christian

Heritage Christian waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots by a score of 53-41. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-35 back in November of 2024.

Heritage Christian was led to victory by Andrew Regnerus and Hunter Regnerus. Andrew dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Hunter went 6-for-7 to rack up 15 points and six boards. What's more, Andrew posted three assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why HomeSchool Resource Center lost, don't look at Noel Green. Despite the final result, he had 16 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. That was a full 39% of HomeSchool Resource Center's points, marking the fourth time in a row Green has scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias Moore, who earned ten points.

Heritage Christian's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-21.

Heritage Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, they have already played their next contest, a 63-58 win against Jackson HomeSchool on the 20th.
