Ell-Saline had lost ten straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-14 to make it 11. They fell just short of the Bennington Bulldogs by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 on Friday.
As for Bennington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch.
For Bennington's part, they let Connor Fry and Brock Murk run wild.
